Los Angeles is a mecca for delicious food and the hottest new restaurants and bars. With all of the places there are to go, there remain a few hidden gems across the city that are relatively, still flying under the radar. Because we love you so much, we want to share these amazing little places with you and we hope you get the chance to experience them! Here they are, in no particular order:

 

1. The Daily Dose Cafe, 1820 Industrial Street, Los Angeles CA 90021

Best eggs in DTLA! We absolutely love this perfect little cafe nestled between old warehouse buildings in the Arts District. Walk down a beautiful cobblestone lined path with beautiful wood and steel tables, umbrellas and hanging string lights. This magical little place serves up the best breakfast in town, like the Mona Lisa Omelette with brie and mushrooms and the Margot Egg Sando which features fluffy scrambled eggs and housemade chipotle ketchup. Don't miss out on lunchtime either, the Farmer Sandwich is an award winning vegetarian sandwich that must be experienced, words can not describe the epic deliciousness. Oh, and there is this real fancy grilled cheese, the Guildsmith Sandwich on ciabatta bread with grilled Haloumi cheese. Need I say more? 

 

2. Blue Star Restaurant, 2200 E. 15th Street, Los Angeles, CA 90021

In between large industrial buildings, a steel recycling center and massive clothing factories, lies a magical little diner called The Blue Star. It has indoor seating as well as a nice little patio outside. They have delicious beers on tap and really delicious food. The Mac & Cheese is a definite winner you won't want to miss out on. A personal favorite is the Grilled Chopped Vegetable Salad, healthy and crave-worthy. Overall this place has great diner food and a cool little vibe. 

3. Localita & the Badasserie, 817 S. Los Angeles Street, 1st Floor Lobby, Los Angeles, CA 90014

Localita is one of those places that if you happen to blink while you're driving by, you will most definitely miss it. It is a tiny little hole in the wall on Los Angeles Street on the first floor of the Academy Award Clothing Building. Localita is a little vegan joint and their motto is "Eat Nice, Live Naughty." We love this place. Not just because they have a motto that resonates with us, we love them for making the most delicious vegan breakfast sandwich known to man. We say this statement with confidence. This sandwich is called the OG Badass Breakfast Sandwich and we assure you that it is badass. Here's the deal, this sando has a vegan breakfast patty, covered in Daiya Cheddar Cheese, drizzled with maple syrup and finished with a chipotle sauce on a multigrain sprouted english muffin. It seems simple, but it is anything but. If you're in LA, check it out. You will NOT be disappointed.
